I’m thinking of getting one of these cymbal stands for percussion. Would a splash (maybe a small crash instead in the figure) on top with a lightweight clamp to hold 1 or 2 cowbells and a tambourine work?
"The Spinal-G throne is designed to rotate with your body as you move around the kit. Because locking the throne top in place would negate the ergokinetic benefits that the Spinal-G provides, the throne top on the Spinal-G Throne top is not designed to lock in place."
I just got the maple one and I love it.
I been waiting for 2 years and 5 months
Las Vic Firth acá valen 87.50 $ US. 👍🥁
Thanks Brendan. I also use Meinls - they're great.
You’re welcome Paul, best of luck
@@BrendrumJonesI have palsy so can't play the kit. I can play bongos and the bodhrán.
@@pauljordan4452 you know I’ve always wanted to play the bodhran properly
@@BrendrumJones There are a few videos and alternatively I could explain it. Caroline Corr inspired me. I use the ancient Indian rhythms called Konokol and sometimes hit the bottom of the skin for bass and top for snare. It's tiring for your playing arm.
Is there any legs or feet warm up?

The Rhythm Trainer app has been really helpful for me as i just started learning the drums 3 years ago with no musical background whatsoever. The free version allows you 10 min per day and includes site reading.
For me wood wins. More pleasing to the ear.
how much is the original set cover pliz send me the prices
Can you plizz give me some tip more to prevent butt sweat
Great explanation and demo!
It’s been over 3 years since I ordered 2 pads (snare pad in 09/2020, tenor kicks in 11/2020). They need to be sued.
A little dead but otherwise sounds good
Tx 4 sharing, gonna use it for the first time today. Wonder how it works
Ive always wandered about Drumcraft, they have a nice Copper snare available on Thomann now. And am thinking of maybe purchasing it
I’ve always liked their stuff, and I’ve I had a lot from them for over 10 years
ty! will try!
Cool
Have you tried the mahogany surface model? I am debating between that or the walnut and wondering what differences there would be?
No I haven’t unfortunately, I would imagine it would be a feel difference
Put some Thread-Lock on that screw!
a definite yes. Working these muscles have given me great improvement on the drum kit
I play pretty fast in my band (170 to 200bpm) and I need something to help me go from a cold start to that fast drumming when playing live. I think these sound great for building up a bit of extra muscle to help me with that tension that usually slams me in the first few songs. Really excellent drumming video, nice tangential but important topic I think!
Good video! I've been playing for over 50 years and I found that using the angle of my right ankle while playing the bass drum as a guide works best for me. I have to be able to play both, heel-up and heel-down, in comfort. This actually turns out to be the same height that you show without all the measuring.
Thanks for saying so, cool good info
Its been a few months now that I found the sweet spot. I watched your video and I compared my drum throne to yours and its exactly at the top of my knee. Just like your video recommends my friend. You're 100% correct. Instead of measuring now I know its at the top of my knee. Awesome video. Critical advise 👍Chrers mate
Hey thanks for letting me know. Makes it worth while doing the videos, I’m delighted it helped you 👍🏻 keep in touch
Where do you go to customize the molded ear piece? I live near Chicago.
Hey, there should be a company online, and you can go to an audiologist for the moulds if you can’t get the company to do it
Amazing review! Thank you for carefully going through very important tools.
You’re welcome and thanks for saying
This is truth and you nailed it. Unfortunately I am a victim of what you described where the ring clicked in a few years back and never left now I'm back tracking to look into protection at 41 years old and drumming 27 years. Learn from me kids definitely protect your ears
Good advice, hope it’s not too bad for you, I get it only now and then but still worrying
Good stuff. Going to give that a try
I commented on your other video 2 years ago asking this question and here I am, only now finding out you actually did the video, lol! Thanks so much man. Still applies!! Im gonna try felt tomorrow to see how it goes. I use the pearl H-930 pedal. Any chance you know what tools i'd need to come prepared? Thanks brother!
Hey man , I think just go and do it cause the pearl you stand might have a different way of doing it. But you’ll figure it out
@@BrendrumJonesCheers for the quick reply bud! Have my sub!
@@BrendrumJones it worked man! i couldn't get the tube loose from the long rod but i vertically cut a felt and put it on and it made a vast difference. legend!
@zChigs nice one, problem solved
Thanks for your reviews, however may I ask an ignorant type question? I have played drums as a hobby for decades, and it is mainly for exercise now a-days. One of my sons actually learned how to play by the video game Guitar Hero, or its competitor - The Beatles version. The app they used was excellent. It was able to show what drum to hit while the song you were playing was playing. Is there any visual app like that out there, that you could feed your personal music shuffle into and it would output this type of visual feature? If not, then I want a cut of the profits when it is made because the many that can’t read music could really benefit from it? Thanks for your time.
Update. Purchased a Reserve Max+ on 3/8/24. Shipped via USPS on 3/21/24. Scheduled to be delivered 3/26/24. Only beef is that the USPS shipping label was created on 3/15/24 and I received an unsolicited email from Xymox on 3/16/24 saying the item would ship on 3/18/24 or 3/19/24. It didn't. I messaged Xymox back on 3/20/24 letting them know the item had not shipped. I received a response back on 3/21/24 saying they would investigate and the item was shipped that day.
I found this kitten used for 266.00 but I already owned a solar safari, premier, and multiple other kits with 20”BD. I don’t have any 18 inch kick drums at the moment and I’m kind of curious about the shallow floor Tom. Thoughts?
hi i propose a solution for that problem, you can put a piece of cloth before screw the bolt to fill the gap around
Chipping definitely matters. Every chip equals less weight.
Are the cymbal stands able to carry a mounted tom without them falling over? I have dw lightweight hardware that cant
I wouldn't say they would fall over, however they are very thin so i don't think you would find a clamp to work.
Ive played bare foot for 20 years.... time for shoes. The iron cobra is bruising the balls of my feet after 4 hour gigs
Well you had a good run 😂, Try the boxing shoes or some Converse
Its that remo ambasador at toms?
no its emperors
Folks, pay with a Credit Card and dispute it with the bank if the product doesn't show up. That simple.
This is absolutely genius, I plan on using metal, would you suggest this or to stick with plastic?
Thanks, I think metal would be fine, let me know how it goes
Rockin!
Thanks Josh, if you ever get the chance to do the show take it’s great fun
@@BrendrumJones i’ve got six dates coming up next month in Brooklyn! Psyched

Why are there no other videos about hi hat footboard height adjustment on the whole of youtube?
I don't know, this is actually why i did the video
Clearly for a mic setup you'd need two mics...

Very Nice drumming sir❤
Thank you good sir
The deeper snare is tuned higher!
The part that the throne sits on at 3:03 attaches with a drum key. Make sure it is all the way up on the tube. Mine was tight but not all the way up on the tube. This fixed a slight wobble on mine. I suspect his is doing the same thing. Its not fully seated onto the bottom fitting.
What's the model of your mic clip?
Hey, I got it off Amazon it’s very good had it since 2017 here’s the link amzn.to/3uM5GpF
I like it.I just bought some gator soft cases for my drum kit.my old accent power tone kit from 2004i love those a lot.all I need is hardware caddy on wheels it’s a great back saver
I sure wish I knew about this company’s reputation before ordering!! I ordered a $252 tenor pad on Jan 18, 2024 as a gift for my son’s 18th bday. When I didn’t receive it, I emailed them and they said they were a small business and had to make the pad, and it would ship within 15 business days after it was made. A week ago, I received an email that it shipped, but UPS tracking number shows only the label was received by UPS- NO PACKAGE! I emailed Xymox again, and they said they will let me know the status of shipment by end of today. I sincerely hope they aren’t scamming us too!!! 😢
Great video, have been looking at this set myself, mostly because I need to replace my hardware case at the moment and while this set is more expensive than a case, the fact that I could replace my hardware bag and lighten my load for future self at the same time seems a good trade off. 1 question if you don't mind, how tall is the hihat stand? I sit fairly high, and i like a hihat stand that has height. I have good experience with both yamaha and pearl gear and always find pearls have plenty of height while yamahas lack height. Would be able to advise? Also, if you are looking to mount a tom. Tama do a classic Tom/Snare stand in the same series they sell seperately, I have it and it goes super high, almost like a concert snare stand.
Hey, I can’t give you the exact night but it seemed to me that it’s no bigger or smaller than an average HH stand
